Rakkii Ramen sits on the lively stretch of East Main Street in Smithtown as a spot where ramen takes center stage—but with a few twists that make each visit feel current and approachable. This is a full-service Japanese restaurant with a focus on noodles and tonkotsu broth, but its menu goes beyond just ramen bowls to include appetizers like takoyaki and noodle-wrapped shrimp, alongside options like chicken curry rice and kid-friendly choices. If you’re seeking a casual yet thoughtful Japanese dining experience, Rakkii Ramen shapes up well.

The atmosphere inside leans toward cozy and relaxed, making it a comfortable choice for families, casual dinners, and small groups who want to linger over their bowls without feeling rushed. The seating arrangement and lighting contribute to a warm, inviting vibe, especially on chillier days when a steaming bowl of ramen hits the spot. Some visitors note a tech-forward touch with tablet ordering, which might take some getting used to if you prefer chatting directly with servers, but staff engagement remains friendly and welcoming overall.

Food-wise, the restaurant draws attention for its authentic tonkotsu ramen, which is rich, hearty, and well-seasoned—often highlighted as perfectly cooked pork with a balanced broth. The menu’s depth offers something for various tastes: spicy miso ramen with pork and shrimp for those who like a kick, curry ramen for a comforting twist, and lighter choices like chicken ramen. Appetizers like lollipop shrimp and takoyaki are popular for sharing, with fresh seafood preparations often standing out. For families, the kids’ tonkotsu ramen and chashu buns provide satisfying smaller plates that keep younger diners happy.

Local visitors often appreciate Rakkii as a reliable ramen spot that doesn’t just chase trends but focuses on solid flavors and textures. The addition of bubble teas and fresh fruit teas rounds out the experience with refreshing beverages that appeal especially in warmer months or as a palate cleanser between bites.

If you’re aiming for a laid-back lunch or dinner where the noodles are carefully crafted and the pace is unhurried, Rakkii Ramen fits the bill. It’s best enjoyed during quieter weekday evenings or weekend early dinners to get full attention from the staff and avoid peak crowd noise. Those who like a good story with their ramen—like the robot server delivering food or the black garlic and smoked salt flavors in edamame—will find details here that spark conversation beyond just the taste.

This place is amazing!! Hands down the best Ramen we’ve had on Long Island. As if that isn’t enough, we also had the best waitress ever, Daisy. She’s kind, welcoming and funny. Truly a love <3 We started with draft Sapporo, hot sake and the edamame and wow. Black garlic and smoked salt really made it a star. Next was the tonkotsu ramen and the pork was perfectly cooked *chefs kiss* Highly recommend! If anything you have to go so you can meet Daisy and their sassy robot Bella UPDATE: went again and got the noodle wrap shrimp and thank you thank you thank you

Really authentic Ramen. The curry Ramen was hot, flavorful, amd filling. The octopus balls (as in balls made from octopus, not octopus testicles) were tasty and interesting!

I was recently craving ramen on a chilly day and decided to give Rakki Ramen another try after a few past visits that didn’t quite hit the mark, and I’m so glad I did! This time, everything was absolutely delicious. I had the Spicy Miso Ramen with pork and shrimp, along with a side of their Marinated Cucumbers, all perfectly seasoned and flavorful. The ambiance was cozy, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Definitely give them a try if you’re craving a comforting bowl of ramen!

The food was good, although I think the shrimp was overcooked. I am not a fan of putting my order through an iPad. The ice tea was actually really nice.

Our favorite part of our visit to Rakkii was the robot that brought the food out from the kitchen! The lollipop shrimp and noodle-wrapped shrimp appetizers were delicious. The bao buns were okay. The Seafood Ramen was tasty, with wider noodles than I have seen before.

I’ve been here many times now, it’s one of my favorites to go to on the weekend or afterschool. The food is delicious no matter what you get, but my favorite has to be the chicken katsu curry with an order of gyoza for an appetizer. The staff are so nice; always polite and bring you water often, and quickly bring the food out too. The only thing I’d say is the building itself can’t hold too many people, and sometimes the music can be really loud with ads which ruins the experience a little bit. Last time I was there I waited a really long time for the check, but that usually never happens. Their packaging for takeout is also super good and keeps the food really hot! Overall, I always love coming here.

Today after a cold and rainy day we decided to go for some Ramen. What. A blast. As soon as you sit down you order from a tablet that's already at the table. Food is delivered by use of a robot and just a great time was had by all My wife and kids had chicken ramen. The ramen is a great tasting broth loaded with noodles and other ingredients. I had the beef noodles that were great. I really enjoyed my meal The tea I ordered is a very floral smelling green tea. It was delicious and hot. On a cold day it hit the spot
